Spring is just around the corner! Gardening and outdoor activities await after a long winter indoors. My daffodils and hyacinths have begun to sprout in a corner garden warmed by the sun. I look forward to the time I can spend in the garden planting flowers and seeds this Spring. But first, I still have cross stitch designs to create and share. I am pleased to present to you "The Sampler", a tribute to the Mothers and Grandmothers in our lives who taught us our first stitches and love of needlework. I am deeply indebted to the women in my own life who started me along my path. Among others, I have memories of a special Great-Aunt with her knitting basket, always working on a project or two and, of course, my own Mother with her talent for crochet and needlework. "The Sampler" is a tribute to those we hold dear in our hearts by remembering the special gifts given us - their time and knowledge.
