This counted cross stitch design was inspired by my very first attempts at vegetable gardening.

I made one rabbit family very happy (and very fat) that summer! The garden contains rows of carrots,

some eaten and some not! The poem reads "What could be so sweet as a Summer garden treat?

Tomorrow, by the lettuce, shall we meet?" The model is cross stitched with DMC floss on

32 ct Jobelan Waterlily fabric by Wichelt Imports. Algerian eye stitch is introduced to the design and

is stitched with Caron Waterlilies #096 Orange Blossom. The completed counted cross stitch design is displayed in a

crackle finished frame by East Side Mouldings with a purplish-gray matte

that highlights the colors in the rabbits' fur.
